Nick speaks predominantly about Authentic Leadership, creating a culture of Belonging, Dignity and Fulfilment and the magic of the perfect balance of Empowerment and Accountability.
Schools are busy places with an ever widening set of demands being made on them.
- We often get lost in the day to day;
- We can become buried under bureaucratic burdens;
- We forget why we were drawn to this exciting profession.
He likes to inspire school leaders and all school staff by reminding them:
???? why they went into this profession in the first place;
???? the impact they have on young people’s lives;
???? the importance of their role in society.
This can be particularly important when a school community is going through a period of significant change, for example:
- a restructure
- an amalgamation
- a reorganisation
- a new build
- a change in direction
- joining an academy
???? This can leave people feeling threatened;
???? It can damage their confidence;
???? It can lead to losing staff you can’t afford to lose.
