Shanice Pearson

Empowering through adversity, redefining my story.

Shanice is a passionate keynote speaker and entrepreneur. With over 10 years of experience in business, she developed self-expression through jewellery and founded Neicey's Jewels. She started this business after being bullied in secondary school in the hope girls would find their voice and their way of expressing themselves through jewellery. She grew up expressing herself through gold hoops and rope chains and found her voice.

Shanice’s vision is to inspire, encourage and help nurture young girls to achieve anything they put their minds to and boost their confidence to excel in life. Shanice is passionate about empowering the younger generation with the tools that weren't accessible when she was growing up.

Shanice remembers being bullied to the point where she dreaded going to school, unable to focus in class, and her grades slipping. She wanted someone to relate to back then, someone who understood. She felt there wasn't much support for bullied children.

Shanice's aim is to shed light on her story and create awareness on the negative effects bullying has on children and to help young girls build their confidence and show them that they can achieve anything with the right attitude. She understands the detrimental effect bullying has on children mentally and academically and wants to support individuals in confidence building, self-expression and navigating both positive and negative friendships.

Shanice believes every child deserves a happy secondary school experience, free from name-calling and bullying.

Testimonials from Teachers

"The students enjoyed your session and were very engaged and loved interacting with you".

– Julie Sizer, Work experience and dream big co-ordinator, Northfleet School for Girls

"We really enjoyed meeting you after reading about your story in your email, you were very relatable"

– Korkor Burnett & Simone Robinson, Year 8 Pastoral Manager, Head of PSHE, Prendergast Ladywell School

"The girls had a great time learning about "individuality" through your experience, which gave them the confidence to express themselves so comfortably. I know many of them can really relate. I went around and asked the younger kids about the workshop and they used words like : "Fun, creative, made me believe in myself and not worry about what other people say about me."

– Zenab Bukkar, Facilitator, Beleve UK
