He turned his life from very little promise aged 18 to now age 26 being headhunted by Porsche and will soon race at the Monaco Grand Prix in a Porsche GT3 Cup Car. At age 20 Sam sacrificed everything, he deferred his university course, quit his job, took all his savings and pursued a career as a professional racing car driver. The only experience he had was virtual simulators. Most told him it couldn't be done, most thought he was crazy to even try, yet here he is.
In only 4 full championships, one of which he won, he has quickly risen up the ranks of the sport. During 2014 in recognition of both Sam’s career and Australian Carrera Cup achievements, Porsche selected him to represent Australia in Europe, to compete against the best drivers for a scholarship to the highest one make GT series in the world, Porsche Supercup.
In 2015 Sam secured a drive in the Porsche Supercup and will race at some of the most famous Grand Prix’s tracks in the world including Monaco, British, German, Belgium and many more Formula 1 events. Away from the track Sam has raised over $20,000 and help lift the profile of his local charity, The Childhood Cancer Association hugely, eventually becoming an ambassador for the organisation and the kids. He is incredibly passionate about helping people understand just how much they are capable of and subsequently helping them to achieve even their wildest goals.
