Inspiring students for English, Peju is a potent combination of passion, poetry and pizzazz!
She studied Law and Business Studies (BA Hons) at the University of Middlesex then went on to complete an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Peju loves to fuse the fine art of diplomacy with the heart of her poetry by speaking into themes that range from the triumphant to the traumatic, from the beauty of life to the end of life.
For many centuries, poetry has been used to communicate great truths and to expose destructive lies. In Poetry, we find answers, climb hills and contemplate different life scenarios. We speak to nations, communities, individuals and ourselves.
Peju uses the power of poetry to deliver memorable, meaningful and magical sessions on themes and topics that resonate deeply with young people. From beauty to bullying, women's empowerment to mental health, her listeners will leave enthused, enlightened and encouraged to take their place in society and make a difference!
A specialist in the art of communication, connection and conversation, Peju “The Spark” Abuchi has been featured on Channels TV, BBC Radio, The London Mayor’s Office, Women in Leadership Publication, The South African Times and The Voice.
She is witty and curious, sassy and serios; a lover of words, laughter and home made cake.
