Mindy Gibbins-Klein

TEDx and keynote speaker, Award-Winning Entrepreneur and Bestselling Author inspiring girls to be the best version of themselves

Mindy Gibbins-Klein is an International Speaker and Trainer, and an award-winning author and co-author of 14 books and hundreds of articles and videos on confidence, self-expression and leadership. She can help your students, and their parents, confront the issues modern society brings with being a teenager.

A native New Yorker, Mindy has lived in the UK for the past 31 years, and she likes to think she brings the best of both worlds to her audiences. She moved to the UK without knowing anyone. She founded several businesses, one of which nearly went bankrupt before Mindy built it up and sold it.

Mindy is now focused on helping more young people gain the confidence they need to accept themselves, challenge themselves and express themselves. She is also a fierce advocate and role model for female leadership and encouraging more thoughtfulness in society.

The impact and pressures created by social media are massive, and schools play a key role in helping tackle the social problems that are arising.

The evidence is everywhere in recent press…

NSPCC report says Online bullying has increased by 88% in 5 years

These issues tend to affect girls even more than boys, but these girls can benefit from a strong female role model who has been through quite a few challenges herself.

She has been the only female leader in many boardrooms and events, and she is an outspoken advocate for inclusivity and belonging. She is a Top 10 Thought Leader in this space (awarded by Thinkers 360).

However, her proudest achievement is bringing up her two children. The journey was not easy … Mindy has a transgender son and admits she doesn’t think she handled things particularly well. However, she has shared her story of courage and vulnerability in a TEDx talk, which has already had 800,000+ views on YouTube.
