As a brand expert, school governor, university career guide, employer and parent, David has seen the routes that young people take into the 'real' world from all angles. Instead of asking what they will do in future, David challenges young people to think about how they can be successful for 50 years in the workplace.
David owns a brand consultancy business and works with high profile individuals, helping them manage their reputation through a strong personal brand. He also works with one of the top Formula 1 teams as a consultant.
Having failed his degree (discovering acting and theatre halfway through a science degree is never a good idea, but thank heavens I did!), he uses his personal story and experience to challenge young people to think about how they can be successful for 50 years in the workplace.
He gets them thinking about 'going careering' rather than just having a career; let's them into the secrets of the skills and qualities that employers really look for and encourages them to start developing those skills now rather than later.
David has been a school governor for 8 years and is now on the board of a Multi-Academy Trust. He is also the Author of ‘The Little Book of Careers Advice’ .
