Cory has spent 33 years in education and for the last decade was Headmaster of an international boarding school in the UK.Whilst studying for his MEd in educational leadership, Cory developed a profound interest in 'the teenage brain' and how understanding the 'science' behind how and why teenagers behave as they do really helps parents and educators transform the experience of growing up in this pressurised age.
As an accomplished practitioner, with certificates in teaching and TEFL, professional practice certification in residential boarding, and a degree in International Management.
Cory has led teams in different capacities with transferable skills across various fields of motivation and team building.
As a leader and thinker in the field of education Cory speaks with insight and a high level of humour whilst providing practical and helpful take-aways for most adults.
Cory can tailor his talks but he has a passion for two areas; 'the teenage brain', and the use of AI in education to accelerate student learning whilst dispelling the myth of 'cheating'.
1. The teen brain:
Understanding the science behind why teenagers behave as they do
Unlocks the door to being able to help and support young people
Facilitates easier and better parenting and teaching
Useful for all adults, especially educators and parents
Can speak briefly or for up to three hours over the course of an afternoon workshop. Can also distil the narrative into a punchy motivational shorter speech.
2. AI to accelerate learning
Coupled with the above, I bring my wealth of school experience to those developing AI.
The focus is on understanding the target people within schools, focussing on key stakeholders groups of teens, parents and teachers/managers.

3. Teamwork and leadership
As a karate 3rd Dan black belt and former UK champion, I also talk about leading teams that have nothing to prove and everything to deliver.
I talk about how sport and martial arts in particular teach us about leadership and how leaders can and should inspire those around them to deliver excellence.
