Voted one of the Voice Newspaper's “One to Watch” and winner of the coveted We Are The City “Rising Star” Award in the same year, Carina White is an award winning event host, podcaster, cultural commentator and keynote speaker. Carina is also a school governor, sits on the board of BCOMS (Black Collective of Media in Sport) and is a founding member of NSPCC's Chilldline Circle.
With a background in Sports Marketing, Athlete Management and Influencer Marketing, it’s a surprise to many that she was once a qualified social worker. However, to those that know her this comes as no surprise. With a passion for diversity, effecting change and making her voice and others heard, she is a force to be reckoned with, regularly speaking out against injustices in her community and has been featured on numerous occasions across all BBC outlets, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky News discussing issues ranging from parenting, sports and her own experiences of Mental Health and grief.
Carina is also co-founder of the Black Mums Upfront podcast and community group which brings the voices of Black motherhood to the forefront and has worked with leading brands such as Nike, Dove and Barbie.
Following the death of her own mother at 17 and a subsequent suicide attempt, she talks regularly about overcoming adversity, strength and impact. Despite the challenges faced by her as a Black woman, she is standing in her truth and inspiring many along the way whilst passing the ladder down behind her.
