In 2004, Caitlin Limmer’s husband was told she had just 40 minutes to live. Through battling a rare blood disorder, it has made Caitlin grab every opportunity life has thrown her way since – and she is passionate about encouraging adults and students others to do the same.
Caitlin has run 18 marathons, – including one in a 7-foot heavy beer bottle outfit – swum a ultramarathons, and cycled Ride London 100 on a tandem. She has set up a thriving community running club, become patron of a charity, won the Prime Minister’s Point of Light Award and been praised by former PM David Cameron for her “tireless dedication.”
And that barely scratches the surface when it comes to her adventures and achievements.

Caitlin’s drive to improve people’s lives through exercise and community spirit is a serious one. The races she directs (Cabbage Patch 10 and The Turk’s Head 10k) and the BeaRCat non-competitive running club she founded, go way beyond physical fitness. Through these groups, Caitlin’s helped people with mental illnesses find confidence, and challenged others to be more open-minded and cultivate new friendships – from all ages, abilities and disabilities.
Her community, in turn, inspires her and supports her in raising awareness and money for charities that are close to her heart the total is many, many thousands.
TEDx, Keynote, Motivational Speaker, Broadcaster & Host. Caitlin’s TEDx talk is called “Don’t wait for your final 40 minutes”, she has been delivering a version of this to many schools and businesses over the past 5 years. She speaks about many different subjects, and these can be fine-tuned to the audience she is speaking to; Community, Leaps of Faith, Finding your “UGH”, Inclusivity, Non Judgement, How to deal with the hardest things in your life being just a few.
As a qualified and elevated status ACC ICF coach part of her session she includes coaching around any subject matter that the audience would like; Anxiety, Confidence Building, Achieving Goals, Transitions etc. These can all be discussed and adapted to what the audience would like to tackle.
