Amanda has been in business for 17 years, starting with a cupcake retail chain, moving into e-commerce and more recently building a successful marketing agency.
Following an ADHD diagnosis in 2020, at the age of 42, Amanda realised she had to make some changes to her life.
For her, this looked like selling her marketing agency to build a business that worked for her brain, rather than against it. Working with the new user manual she had bee given, and finally understanding why she had always felt different, she was able to start again, and intentionally build a business around her brain.
Amanda calls this her Brain-First business and believes that this is the key to finding Neurodivergent success in life and business, avoiding burnout along the way.She now works with business owners and brands to help them build their own Brain-First business, to be more inclusive, effective and successful in their mission.
Helping younger generations to understand their neurodivergence and the positives it can offer them later in life is a personal mission for Amanda and is an important intervention to reduce the number of people with ADHD who end up in the prison system.
Hear from Amanda how she uses her own ADHD as a positive in her life and how she wouldn’t have achieved the success she has without it.
